Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board’s Mission:

To bring together, mobilize and direct available community resources to build and maintain a world-class workforce that is strong in any economic and/or political climate.

Santa Ana Youth Council’s Mission:

To provide a comprehensive integrated system to enable youth, particularly those most in need, to acquire the necessary skills to successfully transition into and compete in the labor force and to further their education and training.

Historic Red Court

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998, Public Law 105-220, Section 117, and State of California implementing legislation and/or Executive Orders, a Workforce Investment Board, hereinafter known as the “WIB” has been created and its members appointed by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Santa Ana effective March 2000. The purpose of the Santa Ana WIB shall be to ensure the involvement of the business and industrial community, including small businesses, minority business enterprises, education, labor organizations, community-based organizations, economic development agencies and one-stop delivery system partners in workforce investment activities.
